Harry Dendy is the President of Capitol Ag Services, Inc. His company is located in Clinton, MS and consults on legislative and governmental affairs. Harry was raised on a family farm in Houston, MS. He graduated from Houston High School and received his B.S. degree from Mississippi State University in General Agriculture. He was employed by the Farm Credit System in 1970 and held various leadership positions with the Federal Land Bank Association and the Farm Credit Bank of Texas until his retirement in May, 2003.
As the Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for the Farm Credit Bank of Texas, he monitored all legislative activity and took an active role in the arena of public affairs and represented the Bank at all significant agricultural functions in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Active in several agricultural organizations, Harry is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the 4-H Club Foundation of Mississippi, Inc., a member of the Mississippi 4-H Advisory Council, a member of the sales committee of the Dixie National Sale of Junior Champions and is on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Forestry Association.
He was listed in the 1979 Outstanding Young Men of America, is a 1993 graduate of Leadership Jackson, received the Distinguished Service Award from the Mississippi Council of Cooperatives in 2008 and was inducted into the National 4-H Hall of Fame in 2011. His hobbies include hunting and fishing. He is a co-manager of the 7,202 acre Togo Island Hunting Club where he serves as Treasurer.
He and his wife Carol, a retired realtor, reside in Clinton, Mississippi where they attend First Baptist Church.
